Save the date for the 2016 Summit (Friday, April 22nd)

The Colorado GIS in Higher Education Summit brings together geospatial educators, professionals, students, and others interested in geospatial education to discuss current trends in the geospatial sciences as they relate to higher education. Save the date. A detailed agenda will be provided at this website in a few weeks.


This year's Summit will be co-hosted by the University of Northern Colorado, Department of Geography and GIS, and ESRI. The Summit will be held at ESRI's Broomfield, Colorado facility (1 International Court, Broomfield, CO 80021).

10:45-11:45am            Responding to Employer Needs. Organizer: Phil Crossley, Western State Colo. College. Panel Discussion that will address: 1) How faculty have changed their classes in response to employer needs (3 faculty participants); and 2) Things I learned in my classes that helped me get a job.


11:45-12:15:                How to put together a Mapathon. Mike Thompson, CACI,  Humanitarian  Mapping    Volunteer.


12:15-1:30pm              “Birds of a Feather” Working Lunch with Informal Table Discussions. Tables will have placards with the topic to be discussed. Attendees can move around from one table to another.
