Units & Colorado's Geography Standards

Matching Project Units to the State Standards

The State of Colorado has six model standards for K-12 geography education.  Below, under each standard, are unit titles from Colorado's Geography: Mapping Our Past with content that is most suitable for teaching to the standard. Discussion of how activities correspond to these standards is described within each unit's Conceptual Overview.

1. Students know how to use and construct maps and other geographic tools to locate and derive information about people, places, and environments.
