Essential Concepts
These
three activities introduce the Internet mapping program ArcIMS, used in our
online activities for
exploring
Colorado's historical geography. For the most part, the Internet mapping
sites are intuitive, and most kids can probably figure them out on their own.
However, we recommend that teachers and students complete a couple
activities below before moving on to the other mapping activities.
Note that you'll need Internet Explorer or
Netscape to view the maps in this project. Mac users: see the Help
section.
