PROGEOGRAPHER PROGRAM -PROGRAM COST
Note: the program fee and tuition are billed separately by the University of
Northern Colorado after the official start of the program on April 1st, 2009. No
refunds are possible after that date.
Program Fee: $3,200
and
Tuition: $660 ($55/credit hour x 12 credits)
Tuition is billed separately because some teachers are able to get school
district support for program fees, but not tuition.
Expenses to expect:
Get yourself to Grand Junction (airfare or other travel expense) at the start of
the program on July 9. Feed yourself that day.
Outfitter guide tip: usually about $30/person
Camping/hotel cost the night of July 9 before the river trip begins.
You will need a sleeping bag and tent for the river trip. You can rent them at
your expense with the outfitter (the outfitter will send an information packet
to you with a gear list and other important information).
July 23: the program’s last meal is lunch. You are on your own after the program
ends at 5 pm. You will be given the option of free transportation to Denver
International Airport or hotels adjacent to the airport.
All other incidentals such as entertainment and souvenirs.
If you bring your family, you will pay all costs associated with their visit.
